Enjoy Okinawan and Japanese Bon Dance, Andagi, Local Faves, Games and more!
Parking will be available at Kapalama Elementary School

If you are able to, please consider making a donation at our CHOBA donation booth to keep Bon Dance traditions alive in Hawaii.
About Obon:
Obon is a Buddhist religious event and is part of Japanese and Okinawan culture. It is a time in which we commemorate our ancestors and spend time with our families. Let us honor those who came before us and let us gather in joy and gratitude for every precious moment.
About Jikoen:
Jikoen is a welcoming Buddhist community that provides a place and opportunities for all to connect with each other socially, culturally, and spiritually with joy and gratitude. It is a place to hear, live, and share the teachings of the Buddha. Jikoen means Garden of the Compassionate Light and Wisdom of Amida Buddha. It is a Shin Buddhist temple and a member of the Hongwanji network of temples in Hawaii.
